Builds, or Roles, are a combination or your 3 selected Skill Sets and the Abilities you have selected from within.

Skills: Note - Auramancy, Defense, Songcraft, and Witchcraft are only available after character generation. These skills can be exchanged at any time, for a small fee, at a Nui priestess or skill manager.

  • Archery - Ranged DPS skills with a bow. Mostly direct RDPS with 2 good RAOE (ranged area of effect)
  • Auramancy - Mostly for character buffs, debuff removers, and abilities that work well with other skill sets.
  • Battlerage - MDPS (melee damage per second). Battlerage works best with abilities that help you engage the enemy fast.
  • Defense - Ideal for tanks/DPS with endurance buffs, aggro generation, debuff removers, and a few useful shield / magical attacks.
  • Occultism - Magical skill focused on debuffing your target. Occultism works well to generate combos with other abilities.
  • Shadowplay - A combination melee & ranged DPS with stealth. Works well with most DPS abilities.
  • Songcraft - Universally useful skills. Minor mass healing, buffing, and good combo effects. Weak direct damage abilities.
  • Sorcery - Magical skill focused on RDPS and AOE attacks. Focusing mostly on fire and electrical damage.
  • Vitalism - Magical skill focused on healing & the removal of debuffs.
  • Witchcraft - Magical skill with good CCs (crowd control), useful DPS, and effects. Create good combos with other abilities.

Characters are limited by skill points. It is difficult for a character to be good in all 3 skill sets. Players commonly focus on one or two skill sets while only putting a few skills points in the third. As a result it is not uncommon for a mage to take a melee or ranged skill set. Likewise an archer might find defense or magic useful. By choosing abilities that work well with other abilities you can better determine the role you want to play in a party. Developing your Role will properly result in a character who is specialized in Offense, Defense, Healing, or Support. You can adjust your role further to determine whether you are best suited for PvE or PvP situations.


Also known as Tanks, These classes are made to take damage, protect allies, and survive.
The primary tanking specialization is Defense but it can be combined with others to define exactly how you tank.

  • Templar - Defense, Vitalism, Auramancy
  • Blighter - Defense, Battlerage, Shadowplay
  • Abolisher - Defense, Battlerage, Auramancy
  • Paladin - Battlerage, Defense, Vitalism
  • Death Warden - Defense, Shadowplay, Vitalism
  • Skullknight - Defense, Auramancy, Occultism


Offensive Fighters/Casters, aka DPS, specialize in unloading devastating attacks on enemy forces.
Damaging classes include Battlerage, Sorcery, Archery, Occultism, and Shadowplay. They can be combined with each other and other classes for a huge amount of variety. Offensive characters are most effective when their receive a combo bonus from their previous attacks.

A healer's primary function is to maintain life. They specialize in healing, cleansing, and buffing their comrades.

  • Oracle - Vitalism, Auramancy, Archery
  • Hierophant - Vitalism, Auramancy, Witchcraft
  • Edgewalker - Vitalism, Auramancy, Occultism

  • Soulsong - Vitalism, Songcraft, Archery

A support's main function is to buff its allies and debuff/CC (stun, snare, etc.) its enemies.


  • Confessor - Vitalism, Songcraft, Shadowplay
  • Assassin - Shadowplay, Witchcraft, Vitalism
  • Caretaker - Defense, Songcraft, Vitalism
  • Cleric - Auramancy, Songcraft, Vitalism
  • Dreambreaker - Witchcraft, Defense, Auramancy
