Labor Points are essentially a form of currency that is generated overtime. They're required to do almost anything related to Crafting, Professions or completing Trade Runs.
For premium players, Labor Points will generate 10 / 5 minutes while they're online and 5 / 5 minutes while they're offline. Free to play users will generate 2 Labor Points / 5 minutes while they're online and will not generate any while offline. Premium players can have up to 5000 Labor Points at once, while Free to play users can only have up to 3000 at once.

Currently the only way to obtain Labor Points outside of them being generated overtime is to consume labor granting potions, such as Worker's Compensation.
